As an intern I worked with senior engineers to design and create a testing apparatus for stethoscopes. Through experimentation in the workshop, a prototype was developed and built. I then modeled the design in Pro/Engineer to document the fixture's construction and allow future fixtures to be constructed.

The biggest lesson from this project was that the solution does not have to be complicated. In a high-tech world, it is easy to overlook the simple materials right in front of you. In this case, a number of complex solutions were investigated but in the end it was the simple solution that satisfied all of the requirements.
